Cladding head

The choice of the laser and its power is important when choosing a cladding machine. A laser must generate enough power per square millimeter to melt the cladding powder onto the metal surface. The higher the laserpower, the bigger the cladding spot and the faster the production process. CO2-lasers and diode-laser are commonly used for cladding. The pro’s and con’s of both types of laser are listed below.
