The steady rest supports the tube close to the cutting head. When the remainder of the tube length (chuck to cutting head) is less than 250 mm long, the steady rest is no longer required to support the tube . The cutting head lifts to allow the steady rest to move to the right side of the cutting head. The remainder of the tube can be cut so the final scrap part gets reduced.

NC driven unload support

The unloading support is also NC-driven. It helps supporting the part being cut by automatically following the contour of the rotating profile.

Full automatic loading

Ten belts hold the 13 meter long bundle of tubes. Several detections and auxiliary equipement assure the loading system from blocking.

NC driven tube supports

Auto scrap removal

Auto scrap removal: the fume and debris flexible extraction is attached to the chuck. The chuck is equipped with a scrap box that holds the scrap that was suckedout with the fumes. The configuration in the software allows for automatically emptying while loading a new tube.
